People aren't used to the harsh realities of nature. They are excited to see the animals and don't think clearly. Also those cats are used to the cars and know how to get to them. Be cool, that's somebodys mom or daughter.

If a person can't look at a lion and think immediately to themselves "Hey, this animal could very easily maul me to death", then you're an idiot. This shouldn't require more than a second's thought.

The audio with that video makes it way more terrifying.

That must've been something to see though. A fatal bite through a window must've been her face bitten off or her throat. Lots of blood to clean up too. I wonder what the lion thought about the encounter? Did she enjoy the human taste which she prob had never had before?

And a better reaction might've been to drive away anyway

Ah yes, because no one can open a locked door from the inside.

I guess I need to spell it out for you. Give the driver control over the locks. Most cars come with this feature.

her throat

Definitely what happened. Probably locked onto her neck/face and these things punctured and crushed everything:

Did she already have kids? Because if she already had a kid then it's not really survival of the fittest.

Sounds like your typical dumbass entitled American that thinks the rules don't apply to them.

She probably texts while she drives and talks on the phone in the movie theater.

Or did, I guess.

The damned sign said leave your windows up and doors locked. IT MIGHT SAY THAT FOR A REASON.

I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen in US National Parks more often. Tourists are complete morons in places like Yellowstone and Great Smoky Mountains. People think bears and elk are some cuddly creatures that love taking selfies.

Someone who post on TD was telling me a story once about the time he was solo hiking to Mount Le Conte in the Smokys and came across a mid-size black bear in his path. The bear was just turning over rocks, forging for food, but he wouldn't get out of his way. After around 10 minutes of patiently waiting, he decided to walk right past him, putting himself arms length away. He got past without incident, but said all he could think about was all the dumb Darwin jokes that were going to said about him had he been attacked.
