Supposedly a lightning strike hit near the food court at Lakeside Mall in Metairie. Some people thought it was a gun battle, and are currently hiding in the back rooms of stores.

How in TF do you mistake lightning strikes for a gun battle. Lightning is exceptionally loud and sounds nothing like a gun shot

A gun battle would mean more than one shot so did it strike more that once?

The bangers are rolling out civil war cannons for their shootouts now.

Because some are just quick to post anything to social media.

Why? It’s not everyday lighting strikes a local shopping center, and Saturday afternoon is a busy time for Lakeside.

The mall is filled with teenagers and young kids. All it takes is one person to say it and it spreads like wildfire causing mass panic.

True

I was at Mall of Louisiana for the great “flash mob” riot of 2014 (or ‘15).

Them chairs sure sounded like gunfire from the kiosk outside Victoria Secret.

I used to buy Shotgun News and the Racing Form at Lakeside News. Could have been me. Not really.

Lightning crashes, an old mother cries
Her placenta falls to the floor
The angel opens her eyes
The confusion sets in
Before the doctor can even close the door
Lightning crashes, an old mother dies
Her intentions fall to the floor
The angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now to the baby down the hall (baby down the hall)
(Baby down the hall)
Oh, now feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
Lightning crashes, a new mother cries
This moment she's been waiting for
The angel opens her eyes
Pale blue colored iris
Presents the circle
Puts the glory out to hide, hide
Oh, now feel it comin' back again
Like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it
I can feel it, ah
I can feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it, ah
I can feel it coming back again
Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
Forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it

Packed on the weekends and vacancies get filled quick. Lakeside does surprisingly well for a mall right next to New Orleans.
