Wife wants a small SUV. Anyone have one?

How much off MSRP is responsible for a Lexus?

She's also considering a Nissan Murano, GMC Terrain, Grand Cherokee. Or leasing a BMW x1.

Just tell her to get the Lexus. Every one of those others you listed are pretty much garbage.

Seriously, you want to pay for Bimmer maintenance?

I believe all maintenance is included in the lease. You pay the lease only basically.

Don't have the Lexus SUV; I have the GS350 sedan, & I love it. I don't think you can go wrong with Lexus, seriously, & I don't have that mentality about most vehicles at all. My mom drove the SUV you're referring to as a loaner about a month ago when her Lexus sedan was getting some body work, & she really likes it, to the point of maybe trading her car for it, and she's usually not an SUV person. The only thing she was concerned about was the blind spot when changing lanes. She's super short though, like 4'11," so she has a difficult time getting seats & mirrors adjusted in any SUV or crossover. You might want to check on the blind spot monitoring system to see if it's available in that model.

I don't understand the function of these tiny suvs. Same passenger room, same trunk space and storage as a mid/large bodied sedan...

get a 3rd row or don't get an SUV IMO.

That being said, my wife loved her GX, and Ill say that lexus does a nice job of customer service. Better than both the BMW and Mercedes customer service at the local dealerships, IMO of course. You wouldn't believe me, but the best service around is on an Equus lease.

Not to thread jack, but get a Tesla, I cannot in good faith recommend anything else....Model X is the exact size she is looking for. Model 3 is coming out soon which is in the same price range as the NX.

Some people want the ride height of the smaller SUVs.

Was just coming here to post this. My super short mom, who's usually a car person, really liked sitting up higher in this SUV, and likes the fact that it isn't some huge wagon when dealing with parking, backing up, etc.

Okay, didn't know. Not all leases cover that, though I realize some of the luxury brands do. Still can't imagine the lease is much cheaper than buying the Lexus (if it is at all). You can't go wrong with the Lexus.

Too tight on the inside and the leg room in the back isn't great.... test drove one not long ago. Went with the RDX instead.

Wife and I test drove: MDX, RDX, Grand Cherokee, outback, forester, QX60/50, NX200, Volvo XC60

RDX is what we went with b/c we didn't need the 3rd row. Would've went MDX had we needed it. That being said I liked the outback (forester was okay) and she did as well. Acura was just more plush and had close to and or basically the same safety features as the outback.

Subaru makes a quality vehicle.

If Subaru had a GT type car with some power, I'd be all in.

Only one we didn't drive was the 350 b/c she didn't care for the new style. If you want super nice interior go with the Infiniti. If you want more tech drive an MDX as well. Test drove an Overland and I liked it but I couldn't get over the piece of shite that was my grand Cherokee in the 2000s. That and the salesman acted like, well a salesman. Big difference in that guy and the guys at the nicer dealers.

If you drive the 60, have the guy let you drive he MDX as well. They all work both lots.
