I expected ONE freaking second of night time darkness. There was NONE. It was dusk like at best. I am so ashamed that I hyped this up to my my kids so much.

I'm just glad that I wasn't one of the suckers who spent $15-$20 on those paper glasses that was being pushed around all over social media.

So instead of teaching your kids about an eclipse and how rare they are you decided to get them excited about a couple minutes of darkness during daytime. If you had done your own research instead of watching Facebook videos you probably would have learned something.

People trying to pretend the eclipse lived up to the hype have nothing but ad hom attacks to lean on. The eclipse experience was completely underwhelming.

I am nowhere near the path of totality but it was visibly darker here despite there being full sun. In 2024 the path will be less than an hour from here and I'll definitely travel to see that.
