The differences. Can also add in the general term as a reference for "young professional" for extra discussion.
Which do you think is bad and which are good?
Educated people generally know the differences, but I love seeing how these kind of debates go on this board.

hipster - educated, most likely liberal, mid to high income, eats organic, loves gardening, record stores, etc.

hippy - old hipster basically

gutter punk - basically homeless, lives with 8 other people in a old townhouse, smokes all the time, doesn't shower, low income, etc
