I know Rando, but because they're extremely rare and I have none in my data history right now, I'll just concede.

I hope you're seriously OT baller, or that will bite you in the arse.

One of my tenants grew up wealthy and was given everything by her parents. Cars. School. Clothes. Rent. Utilities. Everything was paid for.

She went to apply for a home loan? Credit of zero. No house for her.

But of course, if you can drop a few stacks to buy a house, then by all means, continue on.

If they are smart ELT, they pull an auto enhanced bureau.

It can artificially inflate or deflate your score depending on your auto history.

I never let any dealer pull my credit. EVER.

"They" meaning your credit score? If so, this is far from correct!

There are some "credit scales" that go above 850. There aren't hard rules about these sorts of things, and the only thing that matters is what a particular lender decides he wants to weight as more important. There are literally dozens of different ways to calculate a credit score.

Knowing your arbitrary number is less important than knowing what is actually on your credit report.

fair enough. But to be honest 720ish to 850 will result you in the same interest rate / credit worthiness rating.

You are correct, we call them bullets. 720+ and you're good to go.

700+ doesnt mean shite with a thin file or less than 12 months decent installment.

Usually true, but I can get around those thin files. Captive lenders and personal relationships with some of my buyers open up a few opportunities type deals.

With a thin file you should not be 700+. Possible but more like 650.

Just get a few cards. Then call all of the ones who do soft pulls every few months and ask for a credit line increase

I've seen college aged kids that were Authorized Users on their parents' cc and have been in the bureau for more than 3 years and have a score over 700.

Or credit system is a complete shite show. Sometimes, there's NO rhyme or reason to the scores.

Don’t car dealerships use a different type of credit score? It’s not the normal FICO.
there is an auto fico, but lenders use their own custom score

Yeah it's a nice hook up. Already over the 800 bump. Credit score is like a game to me. Trying to get to 850.

What is the big freaking deal about credit scores, we have good credit, but I cant imagine a few point swing from 800 to 760 making that big of a difference in my life. Yes, if I am buying a house I pay attention to it a few months prior but shite, that is like 4 times in a lifetime.

Poor people work for cash.

Smart people let their cash work for them.

Never gotten 5% back or a reimbursement when the price dropped when I paid cash.
