I see throwing shade as a good thing.
The Pslamist states in Psalm 121:5 "The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand."
The Prophet Isaiah echoes this positive sentiment in Isaiah 4:6 when he utters "There will be a booth for shade by day from the heat, and for a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain"
Speaking of God's protection and comfort of Israel Isaiah writes in Isaiah 51:6 "And I have put my words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of my hand, establishing the heavens and laying the foundations of the earth, and saying to Zion, ‘You are my people.’ "
The prophet Ezekiel extends this idea in Ezekiel 17:23 by asserting Israel will become a shade to the world via God's blessings "mountain height of Israel will I plant it, that it may bear branches and produce fruit and become a noble cedar. And under it will dwell every kind of bird; in the shade of its branches birds of every sort will nest"
Jesus builds on Ezekiel's statement using the following remez in Matthew 13:32 regarding the kingdom of Heaven being like a mustard seed "it is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
We find a picture of Peter spreading the shade of God in Acts 5:15 where we see his "shadow" healing lame people "they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them"
Throwing shade, therefore, scripturely, is a great thing to do. It edifies, heals, and encourages others.

I've seen it used and don't know where it originated. I might get used to it. Not sure.
You sure about that?

re: How has Copper Mill not officially gone under yet?(Posted on 4/14/15 at 4:58 pm to robzilla55) I'm running my mouth because I know what's going on over there. Don't piss down my leg and tell me it's raining. You wanna throw shade, take it elsewhere.
From the thread on the MSB where you were fighting with the groundskeeper of Copper Mill.
