Large zero turn mowers have ruined the aesthetics of the modern home lawn

I, like many of my neighbors pay a lawn service. They come, they cut the grass, and all that looks different when they leave is that it is shorter. All the services use either giant zero turn or large walk behind mowers with huge cutting decks on them. Today while driving through the neighborhood a yard stood out to me though. The neighbor had just finished push mowing his yard, and it had a beautiful striped /checkerboard appearance to it.
It made me think about my youth and mowing lawns, how much pride you took in those perfect lines and how perfect a yard looked when freshly cut with those perfect lines in it.

It was art. But now the grass is just shorter.
