She and those that voted for her have what they want in New Orleans. They tolerate the white liberals but would like to see them leave too.

She did it because she has no awareness or even cares about the optics of supporting Lil Thug and His Posse. No doubt that she is a racist so anything to pi$$ of the white folks is a bonus.

She came to NOLA from Compton, CA and became a community organizer for the Broadmoor neighborhood. She got elected to the City Council where she was caught abusing credit cards and using them for personal business. She owed over $90k in taxes to the IRS before she got elected as Mayor.
Her husband got caught dropping a joint in court
She's always seen drunk around town and gets into arguments with her constituents. Rumor has it that she was caught fooling around with a city contractor (felon) and kicked out of her house by her husband. She is living rent free in the city owned Pontalba Apts by Jackson Square. The list of misdeeds goes on and on.

She’s simply following orders like all the other Democrat urban center mayors. Same thing applies for the Soros-funded DA’s. That’s why they were “placed” there- to follow orders.

There are a lot of people like me who really don't like what is going on but are kind of stuck here. Have young kids and every year my wife and I discuss leaving but never can get untethered from business dealings and family to get out. It's not as simple as everyone would think.
Just because you work in the city doesn’t mean you have to live in the city.
You can live on the North Shore or some other places and commute rather than subject your family to the daily dangers/other issues of living in the city.

I did it for 7 years before we left the state.

Latoya is reaping the legacy of Mitch Landrieu's incompetence . He signed the consent decree that actually takes a lot of the power out of the hands of locals to staff and operate the NOPD. essentially any increase in numbers beyond 1500 members had to be approved. Any pay increases had to be approved.
It's a shitshow overall.

Destroya doesn't value anything that made New Orleans special. Add that to gross incompetence even by politician standards and you have a disaster.
