This a pure conflict of interests. I'm not aware of the processes involved, but she should go work for a travel agency or something.

you say good, but how do you feel about the millions that are going to be donated to her cause via gofundme?

That can't be helped. If enough crazies are out there and want to send this idiot money to fight a stupid and futile legal battle, then so much the better. It'll siphon off money they would have spent on some other hate-motivated crusade that might have accomplished something. Let them waste their money on this stupid bitch.

not sure how big this CoC's office is, but typically the elected clerk never gets near a marriage license, or a lawsuit or a deed, or anything that resembles actual work. Some underling handles that stuff. Seems like she could allow her Methodist cousin, the deputy clerk, to handle the queer licenses, and still maintain her purity for the Lawd.

If I was that deeply-seated in my beliefs and I was being asked to something I just couldn't abide, I'd resign.

what about the part where she took an oath and swore to God that she would uphold the law?

I really think the world would be a better place if all the people who claim to love God so much would be in more of a hurry to meet him in person.

You keep trying to spin this that she is a democrat and people aren't being tolerant of her... fourth grade shite. Not to be taken seriously. It doesn't matter if she's Democrat or Republican...just that she's willful, ignorant, and in dereliction of duty.

Same here. As a general rule, I'm able to separate my particular beliefs from my job requirements. Maybe I'm just silly that way.

Have you thought about the fact that when she took this oath the law did not conflict with her beliefs?
She is in fact probably upholding the will of the people that elected her instead of the opinion of a corrupt court.

She is a democrat.

Religious beliefs are hardly "fourth grade shite". And people who preach tolerance are being massive hypocrites in this situation. And I think they should be called out on it. I don't support what she did/is doing at all. But I'm not going around preaching that I'm some tolerant person while calling for someone to be sued into oblivion just because they don't believe the same things I do.
