Patellar tendonitis possibly...painful at the bottom of your patella or near that bump on top of your tibia? Your quads are probably waaay too tight and you are getting some chronic inflammation of the tendon. Your body can't keep up. Try stretching your quads and strengthening you hips (internal/external rotators, abductors/adductors) and invest in a decent foam roller. A large part of the issue most runners have is weak hips. Problems at the hip manifest themselves further down the kinetic chain at the knee or foot 95% of the time.

I ran for two weeks with a break clean across my growth plate because I didn't want to fail the jogging class. I was cutting grass and weed eating half of the day also. At the end of the day, it definitely hurt, but I did it for two weeks.

After that, I went to the Dr and he made me wear one of those velcro braces and crutches

You probably have gangrene from what it sounds like

I had similar complaint as the OP and was told by my PT that it was patellar tendonitis. And just as the poster above stated, my problem stemmed from a weak hip/glute dysfunction which also resulted in tight quads and issues all down the chain.

I would recommend

Resting/RICE
Seeing a physician for diagnosis if pain continues or if you have swelling
Getting a brace as shown in posts above
Stretching hams/quads
Glute training (clam shells, fire hydrants, monster walks etc)
