This is very sad when you see a 18 yo kid about to graduate whose parents outsourced his social development to video games. I weep for our world.

Yep. OP had the nervous twitch just before the ball met the paddle.

i let my kids play video games (well my son is only interested in them) but I also take him out fishing and hunting and play basketball/throw the football/baseball with him outside all the time.

Lots of shitty parents out there who would rather their kid(s) be constantly occupied with vidya than bother them and force them to do some parenting.

How old are you? I'm old enough to have a teenager, and I played video games as a kid.

Most video games are awesome and most parents are terrible. I'd say it's a net gain for society.

Video games taught me football at a very young age. Knew all the players and their positions for a while. Got me into playing fball in hs which got me into working out and staying in shape which is something i do now as an adult almost every day.

Id say it was a good thing
