I remember I was in Kenner when I had a threesome with two teachers from my school.

Nope. That's Metairie. Just like Chapelle is Metairie.

Miss Francis serving 15 year olds at Shop 'N Go on the corner of Sunset Blvd (yeah I said it) and Williams Blvd.
Wondering how those horses ever survive while living next to exhaust filled Williams Blvd.
Brunch at Chateau Cafe on Sundays after church.
Renting the newest N64 games at the blockbuster on W. Esplanade next to the Subway that was never remodeled after Subway rebranded.
Mrs. Jerry's snowballs that always sucked in comparison to Sunny's but I still kept going back.
Lions Field playing u-5 soccer while planes took off 700 yards away.
Good times...
Eta: also having many a burgers and cigarette smoke at Chateau Pub as a child
Also how the hell is Stingray's still open??

I think some of the line runs down Rebecca. I remember when they had the big Halloween display it was argued whether it was Kenner or Metairie.

It was on Power Blvd right before Vets. Closed down sometime in the late 90s.
In that case I don't have too many great Kenner memories then since that area is Kennairie.
I guess going to Esplanade when it was a decent mall pre-Katrina counts .

Power turns into David Dr at Vets
The line is really confusing in some places, Kennarie
By the lake is really dumb. The line goes through backyards.

Is mentioning that French Press Coffeehouse's original location is Kenner-based a positive Kenner memory?

How about the year they had a Mardi Gras parade ?
Posted on 10/1/14 at 11:05 pm to TigerWise
I've lived in Kenner since '94 and have never heard of this parade. Do tell.
Posted on 10/1/14 at 11:08 pm to Tha Herg
It might have happened more than once. If I remember correctly it was a cluster frick though.

They had Saturn, I think it was called.
The Star Wars video game at Godfathers Pizza on Williams.
Home Video on Williams next to Dominick's.
The pet shop at the corner of Williams and sunset.
The dirt bike track that was behind the time saver on Williams and vintage where the Winn Dixie is now.
When vintage didn't go through.
United artist theaters.
Brewers seafood. Best onion rings evah.
The red truck that every Lincoln team traveled in.
When it was Morgan and Wentwood.

If the Contempra Inn Motel is in Kenner, I'm in this discussion.....
Had a weekend tryst at this poor-boys Royal Sonesta of a place (not really comparable, but we didn't care in the least back in 1991) with a fellow LSU grad student who liked to go dancing at a country bar called Mudbugs (anyone remember that place?).

what was that place that was like half restaurant/half play area for kids. Had a bday party there once. It had lie a crooked house, and a spaceship play area. It was kind of like a restaurant and a fun factory. Believe it had a lion macot of some sort. Think it was back in the corner of the same shopping area as Campos or maybe opposite corner of the laser tag
