They say you should leave a 1-car gap for every 10mph you're going.

Therefore if someone is staying 1 car length behind me I slow down to 10mph just to make sure they're safe.

It's not about making me mad it's about creating a more dangerous situation by antagonizing someone who obviously has no regard for the law already. Personally I'll smile and wave as we approach the next on ramp and I use that to pass the clusterfrick you've created. Others aren't as nice.

Cab drivers in New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner. They think it's a HOV lane or something

Yeah, they can all go jump in a tub of bacon.

Worst idiot drivers I saw recently. Two weeks ago I'm driving 75 in right late. Some guy doing about 80 is passing me in the left. I see two homeboys coming up behind me hauling arse. I guess one didn't have the patience to wait for the guy on the left so they split me. One passes me on the right shoulder and the other on the left. After passing, they both swerve quickly to get back in right lane almost colliding with each other.

Been a long time since I wished two people had been in a wreck but I wanted those assholes up in the trees at that moment and time.

It only applies to interstates (in states that have move over laws). Highways can have left turns so people tend to ride in the left lane in preparation to turn in 6 mi

Interstates can have left-side exits.

Them too. I work in Metairie, I take 12 to 55 to 10 on the way in. Seems like it's the Texas drivers on 12 and MS drivers on 55.

Left lane, 3 mph over the speed limit, cruise control on, radio up. All day every day.

Still a left lane hog.

It can be dangerous but I feel that separating myself from someone who is intentionally causing a rolling road block is better for all involved.

Edit ... I think I have a higher chance of getting into an accident if I'm surrounded on all sides by cars doing the same speed than I am if I'm all alone doing 80mph. Therefore I try to create space and separate myself.

Great job dickbag. You're just creating a more dangerous situation for everyone around you. Let the guy pass and go about your day.

Either you didn't read what he wrote or you're seriously dumb. As are a bunch of the up/down voters.

Install a "train horn" and use it the next time someone is cruising in the passing lane. I promise you, they will get out of your way because they have to go clean out their pants.

Seriously though, if I wanna get over, I'm coming over. I know I'm not the only one like that, so being a dick might turn bad for you one day

I'm willing to die to prevent you from changing lanes. Are you?

They actively enforce it in Germany. They call moving back over into the right-hand lane "lane discipline". You WILL get a ticket for lack of lane discipline there.

The problem here in America, not just Louisiana, is that LEO's rarely if ever enforce the law in regards improper lane usage. I don't know a single person who has ever been pulled over for being a rolling road block. But I know plenty of people who have been pulled over for speeding.

There are other traffic laws as well that are not enforced such as failure to signal, yield, etc. These are things I witness everyday in traffic occurring right in front of LEO's parked on the side of the road running radar. Do they ever pull someone over for it? NOPE.

Seemingly the only way to get pulled over is to either be drunk or hauling arse. All other traffic violations seem to be ok from what I can tell. If you are going to write traffic tickets, then dammit enforce all of the traffic laws.

Maybe if people started getting popped for the numerous traffic violations they commit, maybe they would stop doing them all the time and drive with some sense.
