I played golf every now and then with the owner. Nicest guy in the world.

That being said, I used Kean's once and will now actively tell people not to use them. Customer service is terrible and do a terrible job.

Peerless on Perkins Rd, near Wimbledon.

Great customer service. Been using them regularly for over 5 years only had a couple of buttons damaged. Once they miss entered my bag in their system and couldn't find my clothes. The owner goes searching and says we'll call you when we find it. He calls me like 45 minutes later. They found my clothes and they didn't charge me. Price isn't cheap, but not too terribly expensive. Especially since they are good.

Keans is terrible.

In my experience, dry cleaning prices in LA are absurd compared to the same service in Houston.

ETA: As soon as I posted this I realized that it has basically nothing to do with the conversation at hand. Ignore it.

Damn. They were nice ladies. I guess they got too old.

They kept clothes for 10 years before donating them. Told me that some lady picked up a dress that had been there for 6 years once. They also did it in-house. Most of the other places send their clothes off to a company to get done

Keans could crush shirt buttons better than any cleaners I've ever used.

True story: I offered to pay a tailor to replace my shirt buttons if she could install ones that would withstand Keans. She said there was no such button.

What other cleaners are recommended? Near Perkins and Acadian?

The one in between Mary Lee's and Smoothie King.

I haven't brought anything in a few months and was never more than an occasional customer... but I promise the woman that works there would know my name if I walked in tomorrow. And I've never had any problems (besides an occasional slow turn around time that she always made me aware of beforehand)

That's the customer mentality today. What have you done for me lately? Never mind that we are humans and make mistakes. Taking care of someone 99 times out of a 100 is just unacceptable these days. This isn't directed at the OP btw.

For the correct response in here, my family has used the Overpass for years, cash and check only unfortunately, they are now shut down. I live two blocks away from the Keans on Jefferson and Old Hammond and many of times I have received broken buttons, missed items, it will be ready on this date and it wont be there on that day, or there we can not do this. Have now find this place by the Home Depot and McDonalds on Coursey who has said no to nothing to be cleaned(everything is in house) and at a great price. Looking for a receipt to find their names.

Everyone has their bitches about Keans, but I stopped using them many years ago after they lost a 3rd shirt of mine, but this time the lady actually wanted me to pay for the cleaning of it. She said the ticket showed I had dropped off 9 shirts, so I had to pay for all of them even though they could not locate all 9.

Yes, bc it's the only time there prices aren't high as giraffe punnani. Then, and only then, are there prices as low as the should be.

And if you read the full op, it was a change in policy and shady that nothing was posted or I wasn't informed, as not to lose a repeat customer.

It's pretty simple. They don't want customers like you that only come in on Wednesday.
