If the guys I talked to buy it, they will make some long over due improvements with out changing it too much and manageit the way it should be. The place makes money, this could be the best thing to ever happen to ivars

I'm curious where the regulars end up camping out? Just thrilled they backed off taking over zz's! I could give a rats arse about Ivars

George's, Deguilos, Zippys, The smoke pen (ZZs), and a every now and again Duvics before the smoke machine gets cranked up.

Walk-Ons would definitely improve Ivar's.

I'm guessing you aren't a fan of Ivar's to begin with. Walk-On's taking over Ivar's would completely change what makes Ivar's the bar that it is.

Tap lines that haven't been cleaned since the Harding presidency? expensive domestic beers? Inexplicable charges on your tab?

I get that it has nostalgic appeal but it's disgusting and needs better- much better- management.

Order out of the bottle if this is such a big deal?

Is someone forcing you to go to the bar? Walk-ons is just down the road if a few dirty tap lines can ruin your night so easily.

It appeals to crusty old drunks who don't care if they are being fed rubbing alcohol.

I know the bartenders so they hook me up. I don't live in BR so anytime I'm in town I always run into people I haven't seen in a while when passing through. I'm not suggesting it for the best bar in Baton Rouge but you people complaining about it are idiots. It's a bar in south Louisiana, if you don't like it then there are hundreds more within driving distance.

I've had to go there for friends' birthdays before

I'd rather Duvics, Chelsea's, ZZ's, etc.

yea, i'm so unreasonable thinking that a fricking bar should take the slightest effort in dispensing a basic draft beer

It has atmosphere, i'll give you that. Unfortunately it's a failure when it comes to alcohol and prices, which happen to be a big deal to me.

I'm just glad you made it out OK. Who knows what could have happened with those old drunks and dirty beer taps.
