Just got to witness the Northern Lights

WOW!!! Nothing like the pictures from way up north but we got some awesome white streaks across the sky for about 10 min. One of the coolest things ive ever witnessed. Anyone else get to see them tonight? Or have seen them at all? Makes me wanna see the real thing with all the green in it.

Watch for more this weekend, there was a large solar flare that is probably arriving at earth, read that it would be here this weekend. Saw Aurora Borealis in TN a few yrs ago, beautiful sight how it dances around the sky.

Yeah ive been reading up on it, they said tonight was the best for where I am, in wyoming. Hopefully we get more. Amazing

got to see them from Norfolk England last night, took this pic...(they were weak with the naked eye though, the camera makes them look much brighter)

I've seen them while in northern Alberta. Almost spooky when they start moving and twisting.

Huge solar flare, I believe and you were supposed to be able to see them as far south as Missouri last night. They were visible (low horizon display) once a couple of years ago in Northern Arkansas.
