I've gotten that one a while back.

Now they don't even send me a text. They just throttle whenever I go over 3 gb.

Why does it matter? I pay for unlimited and will use it how I want provided I'm allowed to in the terms of use. I have u-verse at home with 24 Mbps whereas my 4G LTE is theoretically much higher. Why should I bog down my home network?

The wifi at the hospital I work at sucks most of the time. So I just use my phone data as well cause it's faster.

I should probably look at my plan, I still pay for unlimited data and hardly use anything.

I also just looked at my minute usage and I'm at a whooping 28 minutes since 5/15

I think it was from watching the lsu game on my phone last night. I was at someone's house and I wasn't connected to wifi.

I just checked and they are throttling me right now with 1 day left in my bill cycle. I have a grandfathered unlimited plan and am over 5 GBs by a little bit. I just read the terms of use and nowhere does it state that they will throttle after a certain amount of data used. I might call them and talk to them about it. I have a business discount through my company and usually get treated fairly good. If I call, I will update this post.

Bog down with what? Unless you're constantly downloading things using your phone won't affect shite.

Well and for that you're about to get a slower speed and apparently ruin your day.

It might be hard for you to understand now, but sometime near the end of your life you will wish you hadn't squanderd that hour.

In theory shop for a new provider. The problem is, they all suck evenly and have colluded with one another to some extinct.

People in Chattanooga probably don't get these messages because they don't have to choose between shitty wifi or LTE. Maybe I'll just move there.

They're going to lose a lot of customers if they start fricking with the grandfathered data too much.

They fricked with mine. They swore to me i wasnt averaging over 10gb a month and it would be cheaper to go another route. After saying no, no, no, and no. they finally convinced me to switch my plan. first month i went over 12gb, they wont switch me back. im so pissed.

I have paid cash for my last 3 phones since Verizon has been hounding me about swapping plans. They keep trying to sell me that a $240 plan somehow saves me money over my $180 plan. Now they have a 10gb plan including 4 phones and we have been looking at it.

This is correct. I looked and nowhere on the Terms of Use does it say that I will be throttled after 5 GB of data used. Just got off the phone and they said a flyer was sent out sometime in the past saying that the new practice is to throttle after 5 GB of usage. Here is the link on their site that explains it. It seems that they closed the loop hole from a few years ago. It sucks because their new plans are shite and won't save me any money. With the new plans, you will either have to pay full price for the phone or pay a monthly fee. I'm not a heavy user and with everything being more data intensive, usage is only going to go up in the future.

OK, but my bill is typically < 100MB for the entire month. I use wifi for my HD porn.

Can't keep up with game threads.

Imagine dial-up like speeds for looking at pics of Dianna Agron.
