Is that a St. Joseph's Academy uniform in that picture?

I drive by the Sunset mini mart often and was in the area when the stuff went down.
My daughter attends Westminister as I was on my way to pick her up from swim practice.
182 completely shut down and understandably so
Flashing blue lights everywhere as I was diverted back to I-49
Prayers sent up for those who tragically lost their lives

Likely Sacred Heart of Grand Coteau uniform which is not far from there

I saw a pic on FB earlier this week that 20% of law enforcement deaths this year was from Louisiana. With the latest death, what percent would we be at now?

Not sure if it's the same stat you're referencing but this makes 6 out of 23 national LEO's killed by gunfire.

I would think its related to the fact that most of the bad shite that goes on is never associated with La. (NOPD excepted).
Cops just don't get hit like this here the way they have been this week. It's really sad. I have a feeling LE is going to become far more aggressive/defensive after all this- and rightly so.

I've had some good times with Sacred Heart girls. Grand Coteau will always bring fond memories.

Especially in a little town of 3,000 people. I bet the cop knew the shooter and was stunned that he got shot by him. I say this without knowing the logistics of the shooting though.

The area the trooper was shot in was in the middle of nowhere. I would think he would be in more danger of snakebite there than getting shot by a lunatic with a mean streak.

Sometimes none of it makes any sense.

KLFY just said that it was initially a domestic argument between husband and wife, then the wife got stabbed. The two sisters of the mayor tried to step in and got stabbed also. That's when he left the scene and crashed into the store. He's originally from New Orleans but resided in Arnaudville, about 10 miles away.
