A lot of weather apps have those built in. You should be able to turn it off in the app’s settings if you don’t want those alerts.

App's sure beat the old fashioned way of seeing the flash and hearing the thunder that follows....


but nice to know the distance away feature....

they got lots of those for high winds, heavy rain, flash flooding, and coming soon, warnings for cloudy weather might be next

every time my phone gets updates all that shite resets to default on position and i have to go turn them off again

It is rare that you get a do-over with lightning, and if you do get another go you get to deal with the drooling and sporadic twitching.

I also heard it shrinks your penis by 50% if you get struck. That may he a rumor, though.
