I came home from work one day and had 13 on me. Don't worry about it.

Next time, tuck your pants into your boots and spray Off on your boots and up to your shins. You won't get ticks again. You're welcome

Wife got Lyme disease from a tick about 6 years ago. Led to a case of Bell's palsy. It is no joke. She had partial facial paralysis for a long time. Couldn't blink or close her left eye completely for about 6 to 8 months afterward. It has eased up and most days she is fine, but still has some flare ups.

The bite marks haven't turned into bulls eyes. How long does it take for them to do it? One of the bites is almost gone. If I go to hospital can they test me for Lyme now? Or does it take awhile before they are able to test it?

Relax, you will be fine. Although may want to check the "sack" for other signs of infestation. Lil fellows love it down there.

For what it is worth, I have been covered in hundreds of seed ticks during Arkansas spring squirrel season.

yes you are going to die at some point - but not likely to die from two ticks.

About 4 weeks after the bite, I got a strange, purple looking rash across my back. Had no clue what it was. Went to the Dr and tested positive. The sooner you get treatment, the better the outcome. A lot of people go years without treatment, and that can be a problem.

Lyme disease is rare in the SE and mid south regions of the USA. It is predominately NE disease, extending west to about Minnesota.

Ive had so damn many ticks. Only one that ever scared me was a tiny one on my shaft in high school. I was more worried about my dong falling off than lyme disease.

OP dont worry. Just keep an eye on the bite sites. Your odds of being infected with anything from a tick bite are very low, especially down south.

4 weeks. It's a strange bacteria. I would wait. The chances of those ticks carrying any disease is very low. If you feel sick, light headed, etc, then go.

ETA:

In terms of tick disease's, Lyme is not the main one to worry about. Rocky Mountain spotted fever will kill you.

We really don't have Lyme disease down here. Here is the CDC's map of cases from 2011.

You're already dead, seriously. Lyme basically zombifies you.

It isn't completely absent, just not common.

the commonicity increases when you've had a tick on you for 5 days already .
