In preparation for my first kid. It pretty much freaked me right the hell out.

Anybody ever had to administer CPR to an infant? It's fine, right? Works every time?

Worked in the NICU for a while. No, doesn't turn out for the best every time.

i thought the slapping the kid on the back for them choking was kinda amusing in a weird way. seemed like they really knocked the hell out of it.

All this fear you have with the first one will turn into calm for the second one.

Yeah. I asked what apparently was the dumb question of the night: How hard is too hard?

The smarmy instructor assured me that breathing was more important than any damage my girlish slaps could inflict on the child.

Anybody else just watch the infant CPR video? We had to watch it in NICU before we went home.

BABY - ARE YOU OKAY?

Ya, it looks funny watching 10 people knock the hell out of their fake baby.

I did not like the image the instructor gives you when they tell you what CPR does to elderly people

I was laughing and the wife was kicking me under the table. The instructor was a dime piece.

Some of the classes were pretty intense.

Attended one general class at the hospital though that was pretty laid back about general new parent issues. They went into the breast feeding discussion and the fat nimrod on the front row make a sucking sound and said out loud " get you some".

Most people don't push hard enough. Robs are mostly cartilage so make sure you getting blood flow.
