No one is saying people should love or even like their dog against their wishes. it's a completely new level to say "I don't have to love your dog because you do; so when it's off its leash, I'll kill it".

Also, maybe it's just me, but how is that guys' issues with past dog attacks my problem to the point that I should be afraid of things that scare him will get killed? I know people who have been attacked by dogs, none of which would react violently to where they would kill anything. Maybe we need a potential dog abuse registry for morons like this. Those that feel incapable of reacting within reason around dogs or pets leashed or not should register so we can be aware if our dogs happen to get scared by thunder, dig under the fence thus allowing them to wander off their leashes to prey upon you as your bipedal movements and intelligence as a human being are rendered useless and inferior to the mighty canine, and we can come rescue you from the peril of "diseases" (I don't think anyone has even named a disease either, just said "diseases")

Yall are being extremely hyperbolic and obtuse. Literally nobody has said it is ok to hunt down dogs or fricking punt them. We have said it is completely acceptable to give them a get away from me quick kick while jogging. Is it tragic the dog died thougj? Yes.

Unlike you, I read your post as facetious.

I wasn't calling you personally a pussy, just stating that those who would punt a pug are indeed pussies.

That is all.

You just happened to have the post I replied to.

you are the only person i see talking about hunting dogs down. we are saying that "defending yourself" to the point of killing the dog, especially a pug, is a pussy thing to do.

BTW even a 15 pound dog can put a bite on you if you're not vigilant.

That's the thing. If you're vigilant you are perfectly capable of avoiding injuring a tiny dog and not resorting to a 50 yard kick.

Tiny dogs don't attack vigilant people.

And this jogger was the definition of vigilant.

Sounds like he didn't have a chance to be, he came around the corner and the unleashed dog came at him. Bro.

This is what I meant when I said dog owners are selfish. Not everyone is going to like your dog. If you're taking it for a walk, don't be an a-hole, leash it.

How is your inability to control your dog anyone else's problem?

Did I ever say hunt them at all? I think I was using an example where the dog comes to those who cannot handle themselves within reason. If you argue this man was right, then I assume you think there is no middle ground as far as defending yourself against a dog. Its either on a leash, or if it comes close to you its perfectly okay to kill the dog no matter what the behavior of the dog is, because everyone is supposed to know you are afraid of dogs. How convenient for this man that he decides its relevant information after the fact, or maybe he could have been reasonable and mentioned it to this woman instead of going ape shite, she would have them on the leash thereafter. Or if its a repeated action of hers, then why didnt he mention it to her long ago? And why now is his dog attack past an issue? Oh yeah, because he knows he fricked up probably.

Or maybe the guy didn't actually punt or kick the dog 59 yards, maybe he ran and gave it a small kick to get separation, and he happened to get the dog in the head and accidentally killed it. That sounds like the most reasonable answer, but frick that lets go with the pussy/a-hole Morton Anderson punt scenario on the pug that was on the verge of curing cancer

Can I say that I don't like either party in this incident?

I don't like the woman for putting her dog in a position to be hurt. I also don't like the jogger for kicking a dog that could probably be scared off with a loud sneeze.

Who said the dog is out of control? Define out of control? Its not attacking you or your possessions. Accounting for the physical is easy, i.e. dog is not hurting you, its innocently running around. Accounting for a random stranger's deeply effected psychological issues is impossible to account for. My dog is physically not your problem, and you physically have to do nothing. How can you compare that to accounting for another's psychological profile? I can't stop you from being stable, who knows wtf you'll do. There seems to be no evidence that this dog was even trying to attack this man.

That's a lot of assumptions.

Keep your mutt on a leash. It's the law.
