As long as they don't mess with the labels or the ingredients of Makers Mark, I am perfectly fine with this.

Europeans drink better beer anyway, so it was a good thing.
I love statements like this. The vast majority of Europeans drink equally shitty lagers. InBev buying AB was huge. The quality of ingredients has actually declined since being bought by InBev. The takeover made them the largest brewing conglomerate in the world. They control the majority of the beer market in North America, South America, and Europe.

Four Roses (my favorite distillery) is owned by the Japanese beer Kirin Ichiban. As far as I can tell they trust the master distiller, Jim Rutledge, to do whatever he wants.

Yeah, not sure why this is putting everyone in a tizzy (did they get in such hysterics over previous changes in ownership?). The result of this change will entirely depend on what changes, if any, are made to how the company is currently run.

what are some good beer, whiskey companies that are still owned/produced by Americans?
Posted on 1/13/14 at 1:12 pm to tigerjunior
I believe Buffalo Trace is still owned by Americans. They make my favorite, Eagle Rare 10.
