Coworker no longer speaks to his daughter and has never seen his granddaughter because she chose to leave.

I joined a cult that combines Jehovah's Witnesses with Hare Krishnas

People have the right to believe whatever they choose as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

I had a good friend in high school who came from a JW family. I assume she still is. We hung out a good bit at school and such, but her family never let her hang out with non JWs outside of school. Never really spoke to her much after we graduated. Told her they were a basically a cult.

While I like the idea that people can practice any type of religion they want, I wouldn't complain if restrictions were placed on religions in terms of how they promote their religion.
There should be some type of law preventing Jehovah Witnesses from walking around neighborhoods on Saturday morning knocking on people's door. They come around my neighborhood 2 or 3 times a year. If I am home, if I am in the living room they can easily see I am home, but I will not answer the door. It is pointless to even entertain them. I always wondered how many people do they "recruit" going door to door, but I just don't like the idea of people going house to house trying to convince people to subscribe to their religion.

Too bad Muslims only bomb and shoot people. If they knocked on doors they'd get banned.

They're heretics anyway.

I will say they are the best people to do buisness with. They never BS you and they pay promptly. Just don't ask them about religion.

I'm surprised with some of the responses here. In our freedom loving country, we are quick to agree with putting restrictions on people that annoy us. I hope some of you don't have beliefs that ever fall out of favor with the government.
