1,000 plus games now in the books and the news is good. To our knowledge, there have been no reported cases of significant community spread following a high school football game.

High schools in the state of Utah have been playing for 4+ weeks now. Alabama, Indiana, Tennessee and Alaska have all been playing for 3+ weeks. A significant number of states have now been playing for 2+ weeks.

Data shows there has not been a significant spike in COVID cases in any of the states that have been playing football for the last 2-4 weeks.

The health and safety of fans is the top priority in LSU Athletics’ planning and preparation for the 2020 football season in Tiger Stadium. Among numerous safety measures, fans will be required to wear face masks on campus and in Tiger Stadium, tailgating on campus will not be permitted and physical distancing will be mandatory.

There will also be no tailgating at #LSU football games. Game day environment will certainly be different in an unprecedented year.

NOPD sent out a tweet yesterday telling people to not tailgate by the dome. You know the Claiborne overpass is gonna be lit.

So... there is going to be a LOT of off-campus tailgating instead of on-campus. That really solves the problem.

Should be 103,000 (or whatever the current capacity is), and full on tailgating, and no facemasks required.
