Do you need to turn them off whenever you're not listening to music or do they cut off after so long?

Turn them off manually if you're not listening.

Definitely worth the money. I had and earlier version but upgraded because the X's have a much longer battery life (8 hours).

They are also much easier to turn on, connect and turn off as it has a voice that will indicate what the status is.

Would buy again.

So manually turn them off at each use?

Yes, turn them off after each use. There should be a battery status indicator next to the bluetooth signal on your screen as well.

No battery status. I'm on Android so don't know if that matters

Question to owners: with the noise isolation, would you feel comfortable running with them? Only reason I've hesitated is I feel like I need to have that awareness. Is it so isolated to where its dangerous?

You can go with the smaller plugs so they won't seal all the way while you're running

I really like mine, but yes, I do find the noise isolation affects awareness and if I was in a 'dangerous' area, I would definitely take one out. It can be a good thing to help me focus too.

I tried using the smallest buds but one got stuck deep in my ear canal after coming off the stem and it took tweezers and help from someone else to get it out, was painful.
