This is seriously a huge step in the right direction. I mean, this is going to be the pioneering technology to change mankind.

When the game came out I remember reading that somewhere in Japan they had something similar and used it on docks that allowed workers to lift 500+ lbs

That's pretty awesome.
It's called "HAL" and the company is called Cyberdine, though.

I can't watch it on my phone, but....
Long-term power is the biggest problem with an operable exosuit. Though I think if there was a plausible way for energy transferrence via something like a Tesla coil that it is technically possible with today's tech. Though we need faster processors as well for it to fully mimic human movement and speed.
Next up after that, now that we have weaponized lazers, is figuring out an operable energy shield.
