I've been out of the marble game for 30 years (Update Pg. 3: Got a set!)

I got some youngin's running around the house these days and I wanted to get them some marbles. I loved them as a kid, but with ipads and and marble shooting apps I'm wondering if the real thing will even impress them.
Any way, I get on ebay looking for marbles and apparently 2 things are still happening.
1. Cat eyes still suck
2. I suspect most "bulk" buys by the pound will be 85% cat eyes even though there isn't a single one in the picture
Am I jaded from past shitty ebay deals, or do I have a pretty good read on the situation?
For reference, cat eye marbles...

FWIW, I'm willing to admit I'm way more into this than them, but when I get some I bet the kids come around.

We've met before and I think I'm 3 or 4 years older than you. I missed the pog thing. I remember some kids playing with them, but it wasn't until we were in Junior High. By that time football and girls was becoming a really big deal.

That's what I'm looking for. I need more suggestions. All I could remember was beach balls and galaxies being the shite back in the 80's.
