Italy for my honeymoon

My fiance wants to go to Italy for the honeymoon next March.
I would like to do a 4 or 5 star hotel on the Amalfi coast.
What should I expect to pay for a 7 day trip there?
And any places yall would recommend?
I'm Thinking...
Flights- 1,400
Hotel/resort- 2,000
Is this price range doable?

I don't think $300 a day is reasonable if that includes food/wine, transportation, entry to museums, 4/5 star hotels, etc.

You might end up paying $1,400 on flights per person.

I should probably go through a travel agent...
Would it be cheaper to bundle flights and hotel?

How old are you?
Travel agents don't save money on flights.

I know that... but an agent may be able to help me find a package deal. Instead of me booking things separately

For all the TD members that are young and want to visit Europe, please do it before you finish school and get married... Stay in hostels, buy food at grocery stores, save money with second class train travel... That way you can travel for 3 months for the same money that we married guys spend in 3 weeks because our wives want eat a posh restaurants and stay in...

It's on the opposite side of the Positano peninsula, so it's quiet. Every room gets a balcony and amazing views of the sea. Straight down the mountain is a smaller, much more private beach too.

Don't go unless it's where you want to go as well.
My fiance wanted to go to the Canary Islands for our honeymoon. I didn't. I took that broad to Mexico. Our 4 year anniversary is in two weeks, she still hasn't recovered from that power move.

I would also recommend eating at Trattoria La Tagliata. You take a bus up to the top of the mountain to the restaurant. Can't beat the view. Live music. Non stop wine. 5 courses. Best meal and experience I've had

I've traveled a lot, never used one. The internet is vast, and I have faith you can educate yourself and get this done. You might learn a thing or two along the way that will help during your trip.
I can guarantee an agent is not going to find deals that you cannot.

If you do go have a day at the isle of Capri
I went to Sorrento 2 years ago but Capri is just beautiful, expensive(altho there was a inquiry into this last year) but beautiful. The boat trip take story into some caves you can snorkel around the island and then walk around the island

When I went to London and Paris, I took care of everything. But for our honeymoon, we were going to London, then multiple places in Italy, then flying back out of Rome. It was a travel agent who found that hotel I linked. I told her exactly what we wanted and it was great letting her take care of it all. It's a honeymoon. The wedding was stressful enough.

Are there still even travel agents anymore? I don't think anyone I know has used one of those in 20+ years
