It is my opinion that the term thesis should only be used for individual research.

In fact most universities that have a non-thesis grad program award an MA. And let's be honest, a capstone class where you work in a group to the limits of waiting until the last week is not a thesis.




All that being said, because you just have to take the class and because you have been through undergraduate college --and you are supposed to be more civilized now-- prepare to go on probation or having a D, making you have to take the class again (because only C's fly in grad school [if GPA is above a C to begin with]).

Every damn class I take right now in my online BSN program has a fricking group project. Just finished a class today. One more class left and then my Capstone.


This is me basically once every 5 weeks now(my classes are accelerated...each class is only 5 weeks)

I hear ya. I'm usually suckered into leading groups as well. Try doing everything online with a group that you will never meet with because they live all over the country.


I wasn't leader for this group, just offered to edit and proof our final draft of our group paper.


But yeah, I don't know how some of these people function in the real world. I basically had to completely rewrite entire sections because the spelling and grammar was that bad. I'm hoping it's because I'm guessing English isn't the first language for some of my group members and not because they are just that fricking stupid.

One guy submitted his part...with his list of references but not a single citation in his body of work.
