Comply.....comply.....comply. What the frick were you doing to resist? Why are people so fricking stupid to understand to take responsibility for your own actions? Why are these people so god damn illiterate? I have read so many comments today from these black lives matters supporters. Education has failed big time or this is the dumbest mother fricking group of people on this planet. It's not that fricking hard to comply. Stop fricking with these cops, they put their life on the line everyday because of people like Trayvon Sterling. frick you BLM, these cops protect my life, what have you done?

If you're not taught to respect authority as a kid, you're not going to respect it as an adult.

I keep reading that philando complied but what evidence do you have other than a video that only shows the back half of an altercation?

The woman was smoking a fricking blunt with her child in the car on the 4th of july. I think I'll wait for the investigation to complete before I take her 100% at her word.

This is not specific to any of this recent cases but Do you not have a right to ask what your being arrested for and try to converse with a cop without the fear of being shot up or arrested for "resisting". I'm not sure trying to talk to a cop about why you're being arrested is resisting but some of these seem like if you don't turn around with your hands up in the first minute or so then you run the risk of being considered resisting or being shot. I always viewed resisting as putting up a physical fight or trying to run, not trying to reason with a cop for longer than they have the patience for.

cops are idiots. It's scary to interact with them because they are so dumb. We need to find ways for there to be fewer interactions with cops. Tail-light out? Take a picture or video and mail them a ticket...why even bother pulling them over?

The problem is that most people don't know how to converse without getting antsy. You see an inherent attitude before the conversation starts. Just like parents going to talk to teachers as to why they are failing their kid. Out of the gate, it isn't the parents' fault that their kid is failing, it is the teacher that is failing the kid. Most people start a conversation with a cop the wrong way and it only goes downhill from there.

Resisting arrest isn't in asking questions, it comes from actually resisting. Every cell phone video you see of someone getting arrested shows a cop trying to handcuff a guy while the guy keeps rolling around while screaming that they aren't resisting and the cop is hurting them. If they stop moving around, let the cop handcuff them and then try to speak with them they have a better shot of getting through.

I get what you're trying to say but it's way too vague. Each incident is different, as in:

What are you doing to summon the police?

Are you in an area known for criminal behavior?

What types of crimes are prevalent in that area?

Are you a convicted felon?

Are you on parole/probation?

If you feel like your rights were violated or if you were arrested for no reason, there's a court system to handle that. Shocker I know.

I could go on and on, bottom line is to simply cooperate with the police and you'll minimize a bad ending.
