There were 0 casualties. Only thing hit was an airfield. It was theater. They showed Israel that they could land missile strikes by screening their air defenses with slower missiles while sending in the hypersonic missiles.
If they wanted to kill, they would have. instead the area was cleared because Iran didn't wanna escalate this.

Israel, as a sovereign State, isn't about to allow another sovereign State, Persia, to do what they did without a response. This proxy tit for tat was taken off the table when the Persians did what they did.
Retaliation for the bombing in Syria? Fine, but why enter into the airspace of Israel? Further, what was their general doing in Syria .. was up to no good...directing proxies.

Thugs north of Israel attacked first, Israel responded.
Iran sends an attack. I expect Israel will. I wish they wouldn't so things can settle down but I would want to respond if I got attacked. Things could get worse. Hopefully Israel will shot rockets into the desert and things settle down. I don't think that will happen though.
