Islam is a version of Christianity that many Christians don't want to recognize. They believe Jesus was a prophet but that Mohammad was the last prophet of God. So therefore, they believe in the same God as Christians....

It's ridiculous to claim Jesus to be just a prophet. He said himself that he is the way, the truth and the light. So, either he is a huge liar, or he is God and not just another prophet.

Islam is not a version of Christianity

Judaism, Christianity and Islam all worship the same God but are different religions.

No it's not.

Judaism, Islam and Christianity all believe in the same God, yes. But Jews and Muslims don't believe that Christ was the Messiah. That's where the difference is.

Won't happen the Jews will kill him the second he descends. Or the Chemtrails from the planes flying across New Orleans will kill him before he breaks ground.

So they worship same "god" but the belief in Jesus as messiah is the sticking point. Sounds like religion needs to figure out it's own rules.
1 god is 1 god imo

Christians believe that Jesus is the SON OF GOD, he died on the cross and rose again. And that by accepting the gift of salvation offered by this sacrifice that all can live in heaven for eternity upon his return

Don't forget the Holy Trinity as well. Those key points are pretty much what unites all Christian denominations. They may not all agree on other things(ex: Catholic vs Baptist beliefs)...but to be a Christian....you have to believe those key fundamental things.

Td used to be pretty into the church when he was younger(based off his posts on here), don't know how he is conveniently forgetting the basics here.

That doesn't make it a Christian faith though. Jews and Christians believe in the same God....doesn't mean I'm a Jew and doesn't mean a Jew is now a nondenominational Christian.

the Love of Christ is not a contest NURSE ,,if it were I would win.

the thread is about Jesus and his role in Islamic prophecy then turned into a debate whether muslims are a type of Christians.

my response was on point and on topic

yours was superfluous

may GOD ( the Christian one) have mercy on your soul

Shouldn't that be a relatively few Muslims believe this? Seems like most don't.

Believing someone is the son of God and savior of mankind is kind of a big sticking point.

They're 3 different religions who follow different teachings. It's not that hard to understand dude.

It is of the same belief and the same God. Therefore, the Muslim faith would be an offspring of that faith which we define as the Christian Faith but 2000 years ago it would not be defined.

Lets put it like this. Ole Miss and State are both in Mississippi. They are in the same conference and same area code. But does that make them the same school? No. They have different curriculums and expertise areas. So yeah.

Judaism came first then Christianity and Islam branched off from it because of the teachings of Christ and Mohammed.

It's a religion. Just wrong since they reject their Messiah.

Actually, Judaism was birthed from the religion introduced when Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden.

And they are both playing for the same trophy!
