You trust the OT over the science based findings?

Let me guess...MAGA?

Science based findings are usually more skewed by politics than the OT.

That’s rich coming from someone who claims to drive a lowered truck

In all seriousness, it does seem like there has been a lot of negative publicity lately

No, it's really good for you.

And as i said before, when it's said and done, and the lawsuits are out the ying yang, vaping will end up being 100x worse than smoking actual cigs.

But hey, you looked cool puffing out all that smoke, flavored like cherry.

To me, vaping is less of a danger than a case of beer or a double cheeseburger combo with large fries and a large Dr. Pepper.

One of the hands on our pipeline crew vaped. Next thing you know he gets these awful coughs, was sick all the time, and ended up in rehab. Vaping is a terrible thing.

It’s looking like the glycol (or whatever it is) in the vape juice itself is getting trapped in the lungs and cresting a wet environment for all sorts of bacteria. It’s causing pneumonia and other stuff.

Considering there has been an influx of vaping related respiratory illnesses in the hospital and its becoming a nation-wide issue

I'd say yes.

I’m sure it’s not good for you and definitely with the amount and regularity some people use them these days (my good friend being one of them). But I’m still going to use mine when I drink and feel the urge for nicotine because I think it’s probably the lesser of 2 evils at this point. Who knows, I may regret it one day but I know how bad cigs are for you so I’m still hopefully that if I use my vape as little as I do for the time being that it won’t be as harmful.

I've never read anything that made claims about the overall health impact of vaping. It's not like smoking, where the cost and mortality associated with it has been carefully measured.

You just see a lot of anecdotes, and a lot of PSAs directed at young people. I wouldn't want to declare vaping safe, but the stuff you've seen is probably just fluff and hand-wringing.

The usual sky is falling older women that I keep up with on facebook have been going nuts with all of the stories like these.
I did see a few comments that people shouldn't be buying knock off brands or trying to modify any of them. Not sure what that really means or what's the point, but just wanted to point it out.

All of the vaping and smoking folks seem like dumbasses to me.

I don't vape so I don't have a strong opinion on it but it would be interesting to see who's funding these anti-vaping "experts".

Michigan banned flavored vapes or something this week. Even NYT is saying it's a "peak panic."

Inhaling chemicals into your lungs is usually a bad thing to do.

And almost 100% of those cases were people vaping marijuana liquid that was laced with Vitamin E of all things. CDC has said they believe the vitamin E is what caused these illnesses and deaths.
