When you're worth a billion dollars no one cares how tall you are.

Think about it. The guy is a nut job scientologist who has mental breakdowns on Oprah and is still a movie star

Standing on a chair. It's impossible to keep that guy off the furniture.

If that height chart is accurate and not some internet bullshite, I am stunned at how short all those guys are IRL. The movies certainly managed to hide it from me.

If you only watch his he-man macho epics, you'll think Sylvester Stallone is 7 feet tall. But his real height was revealed when he hosted SNL.

Ditto with Mel Gibson appearing on the Tonight Show.

Watch an early Charles Bronson film like Master Of The World and you'll see Vincent Price towering over him. But once Bronson became a major star he never allowed revealing shots like that.

I will give Tom Cruise credit. He's never tried to hide his lack of height by camera angles and/or refusing to be photographed next to taller actors.

Some short stars through the years were secure enough to be open about their lack of height: Cagney, Richard Widmark, Pacino, Paul Newman, Cruise (he doesn't belong in this company as an actor, but I give him props for the height business)

Other stars took pains to hide being short: Stallone (according to Sharon Stone he stood on a box in a scene of them together in a shower), Gibson, Bronson, Steve McQueen (in some films; in others he didn't seem to care), James Mason, Richard Burton... The most infamous was Alan (Shane) Ladd, who usually tried to block the casting of any actor taller than him. Later when he was hired to play opposite Sophia Loren, he was generally shot either standing on a box or with her in a ditch. In other scenes either one or both of of them is sitting down, or in one famous scene on steps, Ladd is standing one step above her.

An overwhelming majority of actors and musicians are either very short or shorter than average. It has to have something to do with the personality needed to do what they do. Short people have that chip on their shoulder.

The tall athletic guys were playing football and basketball in high school, while the shrimps were in drama class
