Is there any worse “chore” activity than packing/moving?

This is probably a “dear Facebook” post but frick facebook.

We moved this weekend and I’m stuck moving most of it myself since my wife’s 9 months pregnant. Holy hell this shits exhausting. I’ve learned my lesson and am hiring movers next time.

This is your chance to throw away most of her stuff.

We moved back into our house last weekend. We are still unpacking. And will probably be unpacking for another month. shite is everywhere. It’s a nightmare.

Congrats on sex and a new child. You're only going to acquire more stuff, especially if this is your first kid. Think about that for your future.

I moved a month ago after living in that house for 21 years. New place was 5 miles from old place. Paid $800 ($200 an hour) for moving company to move all the furniture and washer/dryer/freezer in 3BR house. It was money well spent.

Worst part is when you pack and move everything you actually want to take…

And then you still have a house full of shite you have to deal with.

I dislike moving more than just about anything.

I'm 12 years into a house we planned to bounce from after 5 years because I absolutely can't stand moving. I might be the old white guy in the middle of a ghetto that was formerly a nice upper middle class neighborhood because of it.

Yea that’s where I’m at today. Yesterday I rented a budget moving truck (that proceeded to get stuck in my front yard) to move the furniture and washer/dryer. Todays the house full of shite that was left behind. I’m using her parents massive van and have had 2 loads full and still have 1/2 more left to go

I pay good money hiring movers. Absolute best money you can spend. Any time I chose to move I just factor it in as the price of doing business.

I have always moved myself my entire life, but this last move we hired a moving company. Best money I ever spent.

I’d rather spend a year secretly modifying a Komatsu D355 with armor plating than move again.

I'm about to do it again after Christmas and I'm treading it.

Already spending more than expected, but I remember the last time I moved, so I'm going to pay up and hire a good mover.

yea I was talking about that with someone yesterday. I was surprised by the amount of baby stuff that had to be moved already and she’s not even here yet
