No, but Bieber could come the closest.

Not saying he could come close, but for today's musicians, he's as close as anyone could get.

I think sort of. Don't people promote themselves with music videos on youtube? I do think there is something to the market just being different though. I'm no expert, but there is probably a lot to the economics of the music industry that affects the use of videos. Videos are essentially just commercials for albums.
