I seriously cannot imagine a couple sitting in the hospital saying “I’ve got it honey, let’s name him Randy”.

I forgot about the name Randall. But have you ever met someone IRL named Randall? I’ve met a few Randy’s. They’re all in their mid 50s to late 69s.

Randy is a given name, popular in the United States and Canada. It is primarily a masculine name. It was originally derived from the names Randall, Randolph, as well as Bertrand and Andrew,[citation needed] and may be a short form (hypocorism) of them.

Wikipedia has not figured out a way to screw that up yet.
