?? I'm guessing you have to deal with the usual rural LA bs but how is it overall? Better than Opelousas?

My friend I’ve been to Uzbekistan, and Opelousas makes it seem like the damn garden of eden.

There are some decent neighborhoods outside of Opelousas and you are closer to Lafayette. That being said, New Roads is probably better

Not a bad naming strategy for a Louisiana town.

If you like tattoos, baws, and single mothers, then New Roads is the place for you.

New Roads needs to build up their downtown/main drag area. If they could emulate what Natchitoches has done with their River area they could attract more commerce and things to do aside from just Satterfield’s

I was in a funeral procession up there last year. Every car on the highway ( maybe 20 -30 cars ) pulled over on the side of the road as we passed. New Roads to me, and I first went there 45 years ago, is a bit like stepping back in time. It still feels southern and not too run down . I’m a fan.

Opelousas is more thuggish than trashy. It definitely has trashy people, but it's more the secondary folk.

Does New Roads still have separate Mardi Gras parades for white and black folk?

STFU. You’re not even close to being accurate.
