Is mid-90s to mid-2000s History Channel the GOAT channel to watch when nothing was on?

Never knew how good we had it.

Modern Marvels was such a phenomenal show. Plus they actually had History shows on.

Those history documentaries with the cheesy cut-in dramatizations of like Caesar getting stabbed or Cleopatra holding a snake were the best.

Comedy Central was pretty good. Chappelle show, Man show etc.

Infinite WW2 everything. Submarines and battleship documentaries...ancient Greek documentaries...its unreal how far they have fallen off but luckily almost everything is on YouTube from the glory days.

In high school and college, I used to fall asleep to the History or Discovery channel all the time. Or come home stoned and watch a show about the mating and migration patterns of the duck-billed platypus

They both used to be awesome channels.
