Is it racist if you say something critical of your race

For example, I feel like as a whole schools like LSU, Auburn, and Mississippi State are more rigorous than schools like Southern University or Grambling State.
As a black person, does that make me racist.
If an Asian were to say that too many of his close family friends come off as xenophobic, does that make him racist.
When does a critique or general ideology become labeled as racist. In the age of SJW, is anything neutral conjecture anymore.

Racism is placing a higher value on one race over another, period. For example, "Black Lives Matter."
It is not disparagement, prejudice or even bigotry (although those things are related, they are not racism in and of themselves).

I don't think so. I think it is ascribing certain traits or characteristics based SOLELY on race...
If those traits are perceived negatively then it IS a form of bigotry.
Prejudice is not even a negative act. It is just pre-judging...or using past history and knowledge to look at the situation at hand. Like when a Dr. talks to you about your symptoms and decides you likely have an STD instead of a tumor in your lung.
