Is I-59 the least traveled interstate in US?

From Slidell to Meridian seems like a ghost town at all times.

That's a long stretch with such little traffic.

It is real hard not to speed test your vehicle on that road. Just south of the 20 split west of Meridian...tough not to pin it for 10 miles or so.

Yea its usually pretty desolate. I travel it a few times each summer to TN. Very enjoyable and calming ride.

Gotta be tied with I49 between Opelousas and Shreveport. How they justified spending $500 Billion on that is beyond me.

I drive it for work every few months. I set the cruise, and very rarely have to use my brakes.

It's awesome. I love driving it. Always a rude awakening when you get to the clusterfrick that is I-10.

Drove it from Slidell to Hattiesburg on Monday. Set the cruise on 85 and enjoyed the drive.

I59 from Slidell to Chattanooga is the same except for Birmingham (really I20). I love it.

The stretch from Sugarland to Kingwood gets used plenty.

Birmingham to Chattanooga is a pretty drive. I'll take I59 (from Slidell to Meridian) over I65 (from Mobile to Montgomery ) all day every day.

Never any traffic all the way up 59 in Mississippi for me when I head home.

I always hit the traffic around Tuscaloosa
