He's got to be pretty good if the top athletes go to him.

When does age become a factor when you are a surgeon?

Do they hold competitions?

I imagine different orthopedic surgeons are better at different specialized surgeries.

Knee surgeon might not be the best shoulder surgeon

His practice might be recognized as the best though.

My dad trained under him in the 80's and said it's hard to describe why he was so good, he just had the "it factor". He said he was high energy and you could always here him coming by the sound of cowboy boots clicking down the hallway. Apparently he operated very quickly, knew exactly what he wanted to do and did it fast and then never slowed down moving on to the next surgery. As fast as he went he still obviously did fantastic work.

Is he actually doing all of the surgeries or is his practice handling them?

Best is relative...

In Louisiana?

In the world?

Hard to answer because some specialize just on shoulders, knees, etc.

I don't have a real clue but there's a bunch of doctor's that work at the Andrews Institute, so I don't think he does many if any surgeries at all anymore. I think he's more like just the CEO of the Andrews Institute.

Its pretty impressive FWIW, they hold conferences like weekly on sports medicine.

I don't think he is personally doing them anymore. I saw Chyna and Triple H in the waiting room at one of my appointments.

That is what I was thinking. He just oversees them. Sits in on the big meetings and plans out the big procedures and assigns the to whom he wants.

He is the best overall and most recognized surgeon. He does still do some of the operations. I agree there may be better orthos at knee specific or other specific areas but when talking elbow or overall he is the best. He does have a team that works for him now, but they were all taught by the man himself and he gets the best of the best
