Yes. Change you focus and you will be fine. Read books about this stuff, it helped me a lot. Brian Tracy, Emmet Fox, Tony Robbins. You happiness and future is up to you, give power to nothing else. I'd wish you luck but you don't need it

maybe try online dating. I always see so many girls at LSU , but I never have a reason to talk to them. I guess I might be alone forever because I dont think Ill ever meet a girl here.

It's an illness and can be corrected. I was recently diagnosed with acute anxiety and it is a terrible feeling that doesn't go away. I am hoping the meds will start working soon. It puts a damper on your day to day life. Good luck.

I work in pharmaceutical advertising, and recently worked on the launch of a new antidepressant, so I've learned quite about it over the past two years.

It is a physiological condition that requires treatment. I haven't read the full five pages, but I'm sure many people said "just be happy"...those people are idiots. Treatment may not mean going on a drug...it could be a combination of things, exercise, therapy, etc. You owe it to yourself. There are lots of ways to handle it. It may take a while, but it's worth it.

Like I said earlier in the thread, there are A LOT of guys that are actually scared to talk to girls and just blame it on being picky. I know plenty of them. Once they get out of the partying stage, they lose what little game they had and get anxious enough to completely shut down or even leave a situation when girls show interest in them.

It is pretty crazy since all of the guys I know like that seemingly have everything going well in their lives, but that is the case

We have much in common. Five years ago, I too had a new job in a new city driving a new jeep. I was fresh out of a year long relationship and was making six figures. I got on match and hung out at bars and got quite a bit of female company after years of not knowing what I was doing with women. Supposed to make you happy, right? It didn't. It was the most stale thing ever. After hanging in there long enough I did find an amazing girl at work and we're getting married next month.

What you're going through is not uncommon. I'd tell you to go to a doctor. Depression is real. The brain is an organ like any other organ and it can malfunction.

Also, pray. Not sure if you're a believer but in truth, I'd placed much of my happiness in worldly ideas of what is supposed to make a guy happy. Empty.

Also, don't aim for great feelings so much. My emotions never came back to what they were but I became more cerebral and it improved the everyday quality of my life. You may simply be changing.

And finally, on a practical note, make sure you get a good night's sleep. Honestly, how many things in this world are better than a good night's sleep?

Take care.

Do something meaningful. Material possessions will not fulfill you for long and true happiness will only come when you can live for something greater than yourself. God, Jesus, kids, the poor, animals...whatever it is, just something meaningful.

YES

Positivity is forever moving and energetic.

Negativity is grounded...stuck..just like it.

Of course...maybe there is a positive depression lol
