I keep reading about it and apparently Hillary just gave a big speech about it.

I've got two kids at LSU and one in high school. I asked them all about bullying and they said they've never been bullied or seen anyone get bullied.

I don't recall any real bullying growing up, other than some light teasing. I've never seen anyone physically bullied.

This is apparently a fabricated crisis.

Yes I've seen some fricked up shite. Some people need to get thicker skin but some people take shite way too far.

Obviously it exists and can be an individual problem. Is it a systemic problem? Is it a problem that is widespread and needs major policy changes to solve?

over blown because...helicopter parents wanting to clear all obstacles in the path of little Aiden or Jaiden, kids usually work things out among themselves, and "bullying," as a catchall phrase is overdoing it a bit

Bullying is a problem if you let it be. If you don't wanna be bullied, retaliate.

Well, you're apparently an idiot.

A lot of bullying these days is done not only in person but via social media. It is and always has been a problem and it's exacerbated now by the fact that a person can be bullied without being in the same room as the bully.

I don't think it's systemic. Mean kids are just going to be mean kids.

The cool kids don't bully and they don't get bullied.

Be happy your kids are cool

You're either a bully, a target for bullying or a cool kid. Raise your kids the right way.

Most bullying I see regularly is done by adults. People are all but completely intolerant of a different point of view and shut down respect and decency as soon as they don't like even one thing.

The ability to seek out people who agree with you and avoid anything that contradicts your ideology has become incredibly toxic. I just don't run into a lot of people who are willing to express respect or admiration for people on the other side of the aisle, even on major single issues.

As a former educator....Bullying is absolutely present in today's schools. Middle School ages are where I saw some of the worst examples of bullying both in physical and cyber forms

Your kids aren't snitches.

Bullying is as constant as the sunrise. We're humans. There are always bullies.
