i recently had to eliminate coffee from my diet. it was making my heartburn too bad. Sucks. Previously I had cut it down from 3 cups a day, to one a day, to one cup 3-4 times a week.
haven't had a cup in 2 weeks, and it kinda sucks but my heartburn is much better.
I am hoping that I can re-introduce it in 6 months.

From everything I've read, you're perfectly fine as long as you're not putting cream and sugar in every cup. I like it black

On days I work out I drink one before the workout. One days I workout before and after I workout, I drink two that day (one before each).
On the weekends, it's always one in the morning and sometimes one later that day. Soy Milk and a little splenda.

well it is a big fricking difference when your asking if 3 cups of coffee is too much! I think of a dam cup of coffee, a normal size coffee cup! When your guzzling 3 big arse mugs and calling them cups its a big difference.

right, OP should have specified. A 'cup' is defined as 5-6oz, not the 16oz or 24oz big gulps you routinely get at the gas station or starbucks.
i drink 2 12oz cups at home in the am, then often stop and grab a big arse starbucks coffee and then 2-3 8oz cups at the office in the afternoon and i love a cup of coffee after dinner.
a cup of coffee after dinner while relaxing is one of life's great underated pleasures.

When my wife worked.. she would drink a pot from 4-5 I the morning then probably another pot spread out during the day.. I don't drink that much in a week
