No one wants to be associated with being on his jury pool given how powerful he and his associates are in SC. He is still extremely powerful despite what the media says.

The biggie today is the ballistics report of an expert tying the casings near Maggie's body with casings found at a shooting range on the property and elsewhere on the property.

Apparently the rifle not “accounted for” and it was “stolen”. Which is bullshite. I’m waiting for the video to be released but I still lean towards there was more than one person there.

Also when a person fires a weapon, does it leave any type of gun powder or residue on the person?

Yes but contrary to TV cop shows it washes off easily.

Jury selection is still in progress but the Judge expects to swear in the 18 jurors by the end of today. If it happens early this afternoon, the opening statements will begin.

That would be a really dumb mistake if you had to go against him. Probably the best attorney in SC and is definitely the most powerful. Oh did I mention he is a jerk and a Democrat.

He is also from New Jersey.

That was a whole lot quicker than I thought.

It’s my understanding that the prosecution will not be able to talk about motive in the opening statements. Why is that?

Day 3 jury selected 12 with 6 alternates

Yesterday Tuesday the jury pool was reduced from 600 to 120; Wednesday, the final selections were made. Three days, just as they predicted.

Meet Curtis smith, also known as "Cousin Eddie" and a suggestion of the part he'll be assigned in this trial.

Earlier he met his cousin Murdaugh on a road and maybe was supposed to help with a suicide to pay Buster eleven million
and from this report, Cousin Eddy is going to be prominent in this trial, ?for the defense?

Between Dick Harpootlian and Jack Swerling as SC criminal lawyers I would pick Jack, they don't call him Mr. Murder for nothing.

Funny enough they actually faced off against each other in one of SC's most infamous serial killer/rapist cases, Pee Wee Gaskins. Dick was the prosecutor and Jack was the defense attorney. They also practiced together for years at Swerling, Harpootlian and McCulloch.

They have similar "power" but Jack's is bottom-up and Dick's is top-down to wit Dick's wife Jaime is the Ambassador to Slovenia and as an aside is a Tulane law grad.
