What WBRZ failed to mention was that this did not come from the academic side of the college. They were credentials being granted from the non-credit/non-academic continuing education side of the college.
Students going to BRCC on the academic side of the college for the AS with an intent to transfer to a 4 years school or an AAS degree to go straight into the workforce are not part of this. The Continuing ed. part of the college isn't even located on the main campus of the college.

Way back when I took a summer course at BRCC, they needed Ole Miss to fax my records over. I was told that their fax machine was down and I would have to come back, as in they only had a single working fax machine...
