Keep supporting you billboard attorneys, keep the crazy verdicts, keep the lazy judges who issue absurd judgments, keep allowing the chiro to pain mgmt cycle. All that, and youre only going to pay more.

Has absolutely nothing to do with your rate. Zero. Some of y’all are dumber than a box of rocks.

you really like you carrier call them when you have your new offer and tell them what it is to see if they will match. If not, change carriers. In 6 months do it again.

This is just this isn’t fricking Best Buy. There is no such thing as price matching in the insurance industry. Louisiana truly has some of the dumbest motherfrickers on the planet

we are paying for those that can’t afford health insurance OR/and are driving public roads without auto Insurance.

Louisiana is a no pay no play state, meaning that if someone is driving with no insurance, they have no legal recourse if they get in an accident.

We're paying for all the people who file miniscule claims, and then claimants that sue for max bodily injury payouts on minor fender benders.

That’s great, except the insurance companies still have to pay if an uninsured hits and insured. That was the point of the post

So its the property claims that are driving up the costs and not the personal injury? Wow thats crazy.

Uh… it’s both. As I wrote. Personal injury falls under the liability category. And it’s not going to get any cheaper.

What's the story with Michigan?

No fault state, very low minimums (like LA), and PIP (personal injury protection).

For property (home) ins, super cheap.
Auto ranks above LA in terms of cost, though.

It’s not price matching you dumb shite. You don’t think carriers can update your rates so they don’t lose your business?

Auto insurance companies are trying to hold on to business as best they can. Each carrier has their own algorithms to determine risk, but if you call them and show what your quote is from a different carrier I guarantee they can get you pretty close.

Not how it works.

There is a difference between a new application and a existing (or grandfathered) policy.

Rate differentials with a current carrier may often deal with looking at credit, driving history, and potentially new technogy.

Michigans insurance is completely different than anywhere else in the country. If you run a red light and hit a vehicle your insurance pays for you and theirs pays for their damage. They can only file a mini tort claim basically to get their deductible back. Your property damage coverage is $1MM

The real issue though is the PIP medical claims. Basically their PIP medical claims had no limit and could drag on. It wasn’t uncommon for there to be a $500k medical claim that has been going on for 5 years.

They have worked on it some and now people can choose PIP limits. But it hasn’t helped the prices go down.

Kind of. No Pay No Play actually only disqualifies them from the first $25k of a property damage claim and the first $15k of a BI claim. And if there are passengers in the other vehicle then No Pay No Play doesn’t apply to them.

Homeowners if you’re close to the coast or in a flood zone yes. My auto actually went up when I moved out of state. OP isn’t giving the whole story or he’s getting screwed.
